Primary Duties Include

  • Build on product messaging that sets new products apart from others in the market to give them a unique selling point in working with 3rd party Publishers and in-house Product Managers
  • In working with the marketing team, communicate the vision and value proposition of new products to the sales team and develop sales tools that facilitate the selling process
  • Plan and participate in the Go-To-Market launch of new services and products which involve several different departments and/or update existing plans to drive value propositions to re-educate Sales on a value pitch through developing marketing plans and strategies
  • Take part in presentations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Obtain insights into customers’ usage of current products, untapped opportunities and develop buyer personas with internal teams through interviews, surveys, focus groups and sales feedback
  • Improving product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; and coordinating new product development
  • Agree timelines and deadlines for the development of new products with product management
  • Use market research data to establish product pricing. Conducting market research, gathering information from different resources for example and not limited to using customer questionnaires and focus groups
  • Create content such as case studies for use towards videos, website copy and blog posts in working with the CoE team
  • Speak and present about products to both external and internal audiences
  • Test new creatives (copy and design) to support the product portfolio in working with the Product Management & Marketing Team
  • Support Product P&L – including managing budget
  • Research competitor offerings and build value proposition

Requirements & Skills

  • Collaborative skills: As a product marketing specialist you will have to collaborate with, and partner with the Product Management team including the sales and the marketing team.
  • Communication skills: The ability to speak and write to a high standard is crucial. You will frequently have to present new products and write engaging copy with Copywriters, telling the ‘story’ of products, for various marketing channels.
  • Research skills: A crucial part of being a product marketing specialist is gaining insight into customer needs and experiences. Analysis of data, surveys and customer interviews will be part of this mix and you need to be well acquainted with these techniques.
  • A Degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent spoken and written skills in English is mandatory (Arabic desirable)
