Department Description

Within the CIB Operations the CPCS Group is responsible for delivering strategic, regulatory, run the bank change deliveries across Markets & Investor Services. Aligned to Securities Processing, this Change function works to enhance the risk and control environment, retire legacy systems and create operational synergies and efficiencies. The CPCS team is a technically and functionally qualified delivery team with specific knowledge relevant to Investor Services - Markets and Custody and Heritage IB business and the technical environment within JP Morgan. The team conducts business implementation and testing for regulatory, strategic and business as usual change projects and programs.

The Role

The successful candidate will be working on a Strategic projects and will have understanding of all phases of project life cycle, with daily tasks and responsibilities of business analysis, Test case validation, and automation tool usage. It provides an opportunity to work in large scale transformation program with an exposure to multiple products and operational groups

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Analyse, understand and document current business processes, events and flows (BPMN2 Signavio)
• Define expected behaviours and scenarios as part of requirements (Behaviour Driven Development)
• Define automated scenarios in relevant language (ie Gherkin)
• Define and execute end to end business scenarios / flows for business validation and testing purposes
• Identify defects and deviations from original requirements and solution. Conduct root cause analysis in partnership with technology
• Contribute to test meetings and ensure Defects, Risks and Issues are effectively escalated and monitored
• Creation of status reports, to assist in communicating updates to management
• Demonstrate a strong Control and Risk awareness by identification, containment, quantification & communication
• Assess and highlight key blockers to complete delivery and execution on time
• Create and execute use case for driving manual effort reduction through automation and ensure delivery timelines are met
  

Skills Required

• Experience as a Tester or Business analyst role essential

• Experience of Behavior Driven Development preferred

• Understanding and experience of project life cycle and testing is essential.

• Experience of Fixed Income products and processes preferred

• Effective change management skills. Ability to support & adapt within a changing environment. in matrix and multi-year type project structures
• Self-starter and motivated to own and complete assigned tasks.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills
• Ability to organise and prioritise work against competing demands
• Strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in working within an Agile development lifecycle preferred
• Knowledge of Fixed Income products is preferred.
  

• Excellent communication (both oral and written) & influencing skills

• Experience in relevant Product, Project or Operations teams will complement the role.
• Knowledge and experience using various desktop and project management tools such as Microsoft Project, PitchPro, Excel
• Experience in creation or usage of user tools preferred (ie Alteryx) preferred
