Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering their questions, and addressing their concerns.
Assist customers in finding products, providing recommendations, and offering alternatives if needed.
Sales and Upselling:
Actively promote and sell products or services to customers.
Use persuasive techniques and product knowledge to upsell or cross-sell items to increase sales and meet or exceed sales targets.
Product Knowledge:
Develop a thorough understanding of the products or services offered by the store.
Stay updated on new arrivals, features, benefits, and pricing.
Be able to effectively communicate this information to customers.
Cash Handling:
Process customer transactions, including operating cash registers, handling cash, processing credit card payments, and issuing receipts accurately.
Maintain cash register accountability and adhere to store policies regarding cash handling procedures.
Merchandising:
Assist with maintaining the visual presentation of the store by organizing and restocking merchandise.
Ensure shelves are properly stocked, products are neatly displayed, and pricing tags are accurate.
Inventory Management:
Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels, identifying low stock items, and informing supervisors or managers when replenishment is needed.
Participate in regular stock counts and assist with receiving and verifying deliveries.
Store Operations:
Follow store policies and procedures regarding opening and closing duties, security measures, and loss prevention.
Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, fitting rooms, and work area.
Product Returns and Exchanges:
Process customer returns and exchanges according to store policies.
Address customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner, seeking assistance from supervisors when necessary.
Product Promotions and Events:
Participate in promotional activities, sales events, or product demonstrations as required.
Engage customers, distribute promotional materials, and generate excitement around featured products.
Knowledge of Sales Techniques:
Continuously develop and refine your sales skills by staying informed about sales techniques, customer psychology, and industry trends.
Attend training sessions or workshops provided by the store or employer.
