Day-to-day responsibilities include:
(1)Greeting customers and answering queries via walk-in traffic, telephone, email and electronic communications while improving engagement with merchandise and providing outstanding customer service
(2)Create and maintain liaison with book suppliers and vendors, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of books and resources to the store
(3)Ships Bookstore orders
(4)Remain knowledgeable on products offered, discuss available options
(5)Process POS (point of sale) purchases
(6)Cross-sell products
(7)Ascertain that all books are appropriately arranged and indexed according to instructions provided by the manager
(8)Balance the cash register at the end of the day, ensuring that all is in check, and handle any discrepancies on an immediate basis
