Scheduling and Tapping Engineer recruitment in New Delhi - For a client of TeamLease Services Ltd

A Scheduling and Tapping Engineer is primarily responsible for managing the scheduling of network maintenance activities and overseeing the physical tapping of fiber optic cables. This role involves coordinating with various teams, ensuring efficient network operations, and resolving any issues related to fiber cuts or other outside plant (OSP) faults. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Scheduling and Coordination:
• Developing and implementing schedules for network maintenance, including preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Coordinating with NOC (Network Operations Center), OMC (Operations and Maintenance Center), and other teams for smooth network operations.
• Liaising with external agencies like NHA, Municipal Corporations, and PWD for OSP route management.
• Tapping and Fiber Management:
• Performing patching and tapping activities for B2B, MNG, and home connections.
• Ensuring the health of dark fiber and managing fiber readiness for new projects.
• Conducting acceptance testing for new connections and performing periodic maintenance tests of OSP routes.
• Fault Management:
• Monitoring and troubleshooting OSP faults, including fiber cuts.
• Ensuring timely repair and return of faulty hardware.
• Complying with fiber force app tasks, including patroller attendance and trip management.
• Other Responsibilities:
• Undertaking route surveys for new connections.
• Maintaining the connectivity of POI (Point of Interconnect) equipment.
• Potentially involved in the installation and commissioning of network elements like XDM100.
