IAAS Security Engineering is looking for exceptional security engineers to join our team.

Who you are:

As the Security Engineer, you’ll deploy, manage, and configure the various security tools utilized by the SOC. You will also implement core security functionalities and enhancements to our global infrastructure.

This is a security engineering role. Daily activities might include scripting and automation, planning out technical projects, configuring security tools, integrating with APIs, and Linux/Windows system administration. You will work closely with other security engineers, SOC analysts, and with internal teams like networking, development, and compliance.

What you’ll do:

As the Security Engineer, You’ll

• Administrate and monitor systems used to support the strategic, comprehensive corporate information security monitoring and operation program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information owned, controlled or processed by the organization
• Develop tooling and security controls to mitigate risks
• Perform daily security activities related to the protection of corporate assets
• Ensure that the IBM cloud is aligned with all applicable corporate directives and policies regarding securing and monitoring of information
• Perform risk assessment, including reporting and oversight of remediation efforts to address findings of outside assessors
• Conduct research and project planning for implementation of new systems and tools to be used by the SOC
• Provide information and research for proposed initiatives to the SOC Manager and Security Director as requested
• Perform all required implementation, maintenance and configuration changes and associated documentation for all security tools and systems
• Collaborate with system administrators to garner information needed for security initiatives.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 2+ years of information security engineering experience
• 5+ years of general systems engineering experience
• Linux and windows administration experience
• Has written BASH scripts
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with information technology professionals as well as senior management and auditors, assessors, and consultants
• High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exude the appropriate level of judgment and maturity
• High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision
• Experience with at least two, preferably 3 or 4 tools: Nessus/Security Center, QRadar, Resilient, Demisto, Carbon Black Protect, Verodin, StackRox, CheckMarx.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Comfortable with at least one programming language: Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, PHP, etc.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins/Ansible/Terraform
• Has implemented or maintained an Infrastructure as Code environment
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with PCI, NIST 800-53, SOC 2
