Job Description:

Professional Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager for Software Engineering with proficiency in the Japanese language. This role will involve working closely with Japanese customers and collaborating with teams based in Japan, India, and the US. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing complex projects in the demanding field of supply chain management, particularly in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Customer Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with Japanese customers, effectively negotiating and managing their expectations. Be the primary point of contact for all project-related discussions.

2.Project Planning: Collaborate with OpenText Professional Services teams to define project scope, deliverables, deadlines, resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting. Develop and execute comprehensive project plans.

3.Leadership: Provide direction and leadership to development teams working on medium to large-scale global projects. Ensure teams are aligned with project goals and deliverables.

4.Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams within OpenText Corporation to ensure seamless coordination of resources, well-defined project deliverables, and scope management.

5.Communication: Manage communication both internally and with the customer. Ensure transparency in project progress and promptly escalate issues as they arise.

6.Language Proficiency: Utilize your proficiency in the Japanese language to facilitate effective communication with Japanese customers and teams.

7.Supply Chain and EDI Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of supply chain management and familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) within the automotive industry to drive project success.

8.Agile Project Management: Apply agile project management methodologies to adapt to changing project requirements and deliver results efficiently.

9.Global Collaboration: Work across multiple time zones, including Japan-India working hours, to accommodate project needs.

10.Critical Analysis: Apply curiosity and critical analysis to identify risks, mitigate them, and ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

?Proven track record of successfully managing mid to large-sized projects for Japanese customers.

?Proficiency in the Japanese language.

?Experience in supply chain management and knowledge of EDI in the automotive industry.

?Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work with demanding customers.
