Designation: Sourcing Manager

Eligibility Criteria :

Any graduate with 7 to 10 years of experience.

Preferred skills /Knowledge:

Hard Home product sourcing and execution experience; knowledge of hard home industry, suppliers, factories.

Cook & dine - cookware (food preparation),baking, kitchen gadgets, stainless steel metal, canisters, jars.

Home décor - Candles, fragrance, lanterns, wall decoration, table decoration

Home management - Ironing boards, covers, plastic food storage, containers etc

Job Objectives:

Source products and suppliers throughout the country according to established supplier matrix.

Identify new sourcing and value unlock opportunities.

Know and understand suppliers/factories and their capabilities, capacity and performance.

Negotiate price based on an in-depth understanding of product and components.

On boarding supplier to meet and follow company policies and requirements.

Lead the sourcing project from starting to end.

Assess suppliers and factories capacity and capability to meet retail market requirements.

Conduct supplier assessment and formulate supplier matrix for the category; collect relevant data to formulate sourcing proposal

Communicate regularly with customer facing team, buyer, PD, direct import dept on sourcing and order execution issues

Manage order execution to ensure timely execution of orders and resolve product and production issues on a timely and proactive manner.

Work with the Merchandise Quality Engineer and Responsible Sourcing team to ensure placements are made with right factories. Identify testing and production issues upfront and involve Merchandise Quality Engineer teams to resolve

Monitor supplier performance to ensure it meets or exceeds company KPI & determine actions to address any concerns.

Manage T&A, track for timely execution of orders, and proactively identify potential product/ production issues.

Partner with Cross functional teams as needed to achieve quality, price and delivery requirements.

Ensure suppliers quotations and samples are completed within required timelines.

Ensure order placement and execution meets expectations on capability, capacity, quality and delivery performance.

Train and educate suppliers on Walmart process and procedures

Coordinate with replenishment team in daily operations.

Drive sustainability initiatives with suppliers in alignment with MQE team.

Coordinate and execute cross functional projects such as process improvement, system enhancement.

Able to manage multiple projects/tasks in an organized manner to meet on-time objectives and able to work under pressure.

Highly motivated with high sense of urgency, good interpersonal skill, patience, analytical skill, proactive & takes ownership.

Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed

Ensure the timely follow up of all sourcing activities with cross functional team/suppliers

Lead sourcing initiatives/projects with cross functional partners.

Continuously develop product & market knowledge

Compile relevant business reports and recaps to better understand and manage the business.

Execute the buying trip from A-Z including pre-trip, itinerary set up, cost negotiation to finalization to ensure the trip objectives are fully achieved.

Build relationship with Internal and External stake holders

Team player with ability to work with associates from different cultures.

Salary offered: up to 16 lakhs per Annum
