Job Description

Description

Role : SQL Server DBA
Location: Mumbai, MH

Experience : 3-5 Years

Responsibilities

Own and will be responsible for DBA activities
Co-ordinate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production activities
Manage own time appropriately to prioritize assigned workload and backlog
Perform database upgrade, maintenance, monitoring activities for production systems
Investigate, reproduce, and resolve various technical problems related to operating systems and servers
Log, track and update incidents wherever required
Work closely with the application support / IT team to monitor, repair, report and document all production errors.
Monitor database backup and restore activities, Schedule jobs, maintenance plans, performance alerts
Help product development team with optimal SQL queries and indexing.

Requirements

Experience administering medium- to large-scale mission-critical enterprise SQL Server databases .

Expert level knowledge on latest versions of SQL Server database (2012 and above)
Strong SQL Server database administrator, including troubleshooting and fixing performance issues, replication, backup/restore etc.
Good understanding of Microsoft operating systems as needed to manage SQL Server Databases
Experience with SQL Server database architecture concepts.
Excellent customer service and operations/support temperament is key for this role
Proficient knowledge of Logshipping - Mirroring, Scripting, Disaster Recovery plan, Backup/Restoration, High Availability plans, Cluster, Replication and Always On.

Nice To Have

Power Shell Scripting experience
Experience working on SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP)
