Your Role and Responsibilities
As Monitoring, you are responsible for creating customized operating system environments using technologies and tools (i.e. Nagios.). Operating system images range from simple to complex, and may contain heavily customized look and feel, security, application, and hardware support.
Responsibilities:

• You will assist with implementing solutions and delivering high quality support to clients in response to varying business requirements.
• You will perform tasks involving knowledge of operating systems, hardware, application deployment and operating system build/support tools and technologies
• You will draw upon technical skills and IT knowledge related to enterprise workstation support and image support roles
• You will work individually as well as part of a larger dynamic team, and collaborate with others in order to carry out their assigned duties
• You will demonstrate problem solving and organizational skills and have experience with following established processes/procedures to support the attainment of department functions/objectives.
• You will be flexible and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by their peers and team leaders

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 3 -8 years of experience with Image creation and Deployment tools
• Expertise for enabling monitoring for various technologies like OS (Windows , UNIX, AIX, HP-UX, etc) , Database including Oracle, db2, MySQL and MySQL, Middleware applications, Storage, vcenter, backup ,hardware and SNMP monitoring.
• Proficient in performing health checks of the systems to make sure 100% availability of Nagios application
• Working experience in implementing Nagios core and NagiosXI in different projects along with integration between Nagios, Netcool and ServiceNow
• Hands-on experience to lead in transitioning the projects on Nagios monitoring tool.
• Proficient in installation and configuration of NagiosXI monitoring tool
• Solid knowledge of Gearman integration with nagiosXI
• In-depth knowledge of migration from NagiosCore to NagiosXI checks along with up-gradation of NagiosXI version to the latest version

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Ability to implement configuration changes to images per the image requirements document as approved by the client
• Prior experience in working with Transitions/Transformation teams to complete solutioned image work as described by the statement of work. This includes all Process Change Requests (PCRs) during Transition/Transformation
• Expertise to adhere to best practices, processes, procedures, documents and guidelines
• Proven knowledge to conduct product evaluations as requested by the account solution lead
• Proficient to ensure the timely and accurate certification of both hardware and software in line with client specifications and agreed IBM and industry standards.
• Develop technical documentation (build, testing, checklists, etc) for new versions/releases, patches and images.
• Contribute to the development and continued maintenance of internal processes in line with operational and business requirements.
