Job Description:

Hands on experience on Virtualization Technology VMware
Experience on VMware ESX/ESXi 4.x, 5.x and 6.x in heterogeneous environment
Installing, configuring Upgrading vCenter server 4.0/5.0/5.1/5.5/6.0.
Experience on Setting up, Install and configure ESX/ESXi servers
Knowledge and experience on P2V & V2V migrations
Experience in performance tuning of VMware servers and Virtual sessions and management of servers resources between virtual machines.
Working experience with vSphere systems administration and support including VMotion, HA, DRS, VDS, Affinity rules,
VCenter, storage migration and snapshot management.
Experience with vSphere problem determination, capacity planning and root cause analysis.
Working experience with vSphere Thin Provisioning, Resource Pools, Host Profiles, and EMC plug-ins.
Working experience with vSphere Distributed Switch, power shell and vShield zones.
Working experience with VMware Horizon View, preferably VMware Horizon 7
Installing, Configuring & Upgrading VMware Horizon.
Knowledge and experience on VMware view pools like: linked clones
Knowledge and experience on VMware application virtualization.
Good understanding of related storage technologies e.g. SAN, NAS using block storage, NFS and ISCSI and Network
Technologies e.g. vSwitch, VLAN, NIC Teaming, Port binding etc.
Experience in backup and recovery of Virtual Machines
Working experience with VMware vSphere SRM Build and troubleshooting experience With VMWARE ESX and ESXi
Servers and vCenter server.
Sound knowledge on Virtual Center server 2.5, 4.0, and 5.0 and for managing multiple ESX servers
Guest OS installation, setting up of VM priorities, Cloning and Snapshots.
Sound knowledge on resource management framework like creation resource pools, adding the VMs into resource pools.
Extensive background in working with the VMotion technology.
Strong experience with the VMware HA and VMware DRS.
Worked in implementing, monitoring and documenting the entire DR process (SRM)
Strong understanding of VMware Networking concepts like creation of vSwitches, different types of port groups, NIC Teaming and VLAN.
Worked with VMware Update Manger to update VM’s and hosts with the latest patch release.
