Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. To plan, manage, direct and organize all operational activities including housekeeping, property management, facilities management, to ensure that the highest levels of service quality and guest satisfaction can be achieved
2. To effectively achieve and maintain the established standards of cleanliness in guest rooms, corridors, public areas and back of the house areas
3. To assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding service quality and effective management of property facilities, equipment and take corrective actions to maintain essential level of quality delivery
4. Maintain appropriate staffing levels in order to consistently provide excellent guest service
5. Respond to customer queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction
6. Inspect guest and public areas on a regular basis to ensure that the furnishings, facilities and equipment's are clean and in a good working condition. This would require traveling to multiple properties within the zone on regular basis
7. Ensure that preventative maintenance of furniture, carpeting, equipment and supplies is an on-going process
8. Ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance and safety are practiced in all areas of the properties
9. Ensure to maintenance of appropriate grooming standards in hygiene, uniforms, appearance, posture and conduct of the Housekeeping and property staff
10. Inspect all renovation projects and ensure rooms / public areas are defect free prior to release. Coordinate all repairs & refurbishments
11. Ensure to maintenance department budget within established guidelines and explain monthly variances
