Describe the Department

Global QSE supervises the global approach to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment in Vestas throughout the value chain. The function supports both very strategic operational QSE tasks, leads towards achieving the QSE goals and targets, as well as coordinates the Global Management System and its certification against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

QSE Global Development and Excellence is a global function under Global QSE with focus on guiding group wide Management systems, Advanced QSE during new product launches, Digital Technology and tools, Centralized operations to support regional activities and performance management, Six sigma Continuous Improvement. People are located in India coordinate global activities collaborating with the regional QSE resources and all other functions across globe. This position is for QSE @ Chennai office.

We are looking for Quality Specialist, who will work with new product development projects across the regions and manufacturing units to coordinate Quality , Safety Environmental improvements and deliverables

Responsibilities

Be accountable for the assigned Quality deliverables or Improvement activities, its maturity and readiness in the project (sub projects or systems or Modules)

Work closely with Advanced QSE Direct and the Project stakeholders to Ensure quality of the deliverables, on time gate pass resulting in safe launch

Identify potential Quality problems and non-compliance issues and ensure appropriate risk handling activities are planned and performed to eliminate, mitigate, or control these risks

Enables Project Team to perform Risk Assessment, Mitigation, Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement and ensure the quality of Vestas Way to Market Gate deliverables

Motivation, scope and supervise complex (6-24 months) Project/Problem solving in QSE by selecting appropriate tool Ensure implementation. creating business case

Influence stakeholders across value chain to implement new metrics, KPI, PI, coordinate lag indicator roll out with in agreed timelines

Coach Conduct training (Expert) on various QSE tools, methods, process, initiatives etc

Owning Motivation QSE process, initiative improvement @ Exposure to QSE level Management

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical/ Composites/ Electronics with min 15- years of experience of which minimum 10 Years' experience in Quality assurance area

Exceptional Knowledge and Working experience in propelling Quality in new product development. Working experience in controlling design quality along with research and development teams

APQP Certification or ISO 9001 or VDA 6.3 Certified internal Auditor

Knowledge of QSE IT systems and tools (QDA, SAP, APIS,SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plan etc)

Competencies

Strong in coaching, facilitation of various workshops and hands-on

Attention to details, ability to go deep, wide and finding practical solutions to improve project team

Excellent in Problem-solving and critical skills

Exceptional coordination, Conflict Management and communication skills

Ability to coordinate Stakeholders in organization-wide across different cultures. Customer-focused, proactive and result-oriented

Certification in project management such as PMP or Prince2 will be added advantage
