ICRISAT seeks applications from dynamic and skilled Indian Nationals for the position of Senior Officer – Accounts. This position will be based at ICRISAT’s Headquarters in Patancheru, Hyderabad, India.

1. Post Name: Senior Officer – Accounts

2. Responsibilities:

a. Assist in Project Management and Project Accounting in lines with grant agreements

b. Preparation of MIS reports, specific to Projects

c. Preparation of financial statements in compliance with audit requirements

d. Assist in Management of receivables and payables

e. A thorough review of Financial terms and conditions and budgets of grants agreements

f. Liaison with Donor, Internal and Statutory Auditors

g. Adhere to donor reporting timeline

h. To maintain good rapport with location staff and have updated information on the status of the projects

i. Interdepartmental liaison with HR on salary budget clearances, PSDS on project purchases and Administration department on space cost and other cost.

j. Provide accurate and timely information to the Manager for decision-making purposes

k. Assist in Internal and External Audits

l. Knowledge of IT rules related to TDS provisions and Filing quarterly reports

m. Managing and supervising all disbursements and payments to vendors, partners, staff etc.,

n. Liaise with banks/financial institutions for Baking and Investment related matters.

o. Liaise with Tax Authorities such as Income Tax Department & GST Department related TDS, GST and other tax issues.

p. Adhere to all statutory timelines (Direct & Indirect Taxes)

q. Oversee and provide accurate and timely information to the Manager for decision-making purposes

r. Understanding of 3-way Invoice matching

s. Additional tasks assigned by the Manager, if any

3. Essential Criteria and competencies:a. M.Com / MBA or Inter CA with 6 – 8 years of professional experience

b. Experience in Project Accounting, MIS, statutory compliances, Internal & Statutory audit, income tax, TDS, GST filing, etc.

c. Experience in Liaison with bankers

d. Proficiency in Financial Management

e. Good interpersonal and communication skills

f. Highly proficient in MS-Office suite, with special reference to financial packages and Excel

g. Ability to deal tactfully under pressure situations, deliver under tight schedules, and maintain high degree of confidentiality

h. Experience working in a multicultural team will be preferred
