Farm Manager - Rs.35900-113500/- (Pay Matrix Level-13)

Qualification: B.Sc. degree in Agriculture / Horticulture / Home Science (or) B.V.Sc. & A.H. in Veterinary and Animal Sciences with OGPA of 3.00/4.00 or 7.00/10.00 or its equivalent is essential.

(2) Junior Engineer (Civil) - Rs.35900-113500/- (Pay Matrix Level-13)

Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering with not less than two years field experience.

(3) Junior Engineer (Mechanical) - Rs.35900-113500/- (Pay Matrix Level-13)

Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with not less than two years field experience.

Data Entry Operator - Rs.19500-62000/- (Pay Matrix Level-8)

Qualification: (1) Must possess a Degree. (2) A certificate course in Data Entry operation. (3) Typewriting English Higher and Tamil Lower. (4) One year experience in data entry operation. (5) Knowledge in computer languages

Steno Typist (Grade-III) - Rs.20600-65500/- (Pay Matrix Level-10)

Qualification: (1) Minimum General Educational Qualification (Preference will be given to degree holders)

Technical Assistant

Qualification: (1) Must have passed DCE awarded by the Technological Diploma Examination Board, Chennai (or) (2) Similar Diploma awarded by the University (or) Institutions recognized by University Grants Commission for the purposes of its grant.

Pay Scale : Rs.35400-112400

AGE LIMIT (as on 31.12.2019) : Minimum - 18 years ; Maximum - OC - 30 Years, MBC/DC,BC and BC Muslims-32 Years, SC/ST- 35 Years (Relaxation of rules to the candidates of Ex-Servicemen, Destitute Widow and Disabled persons will be applicable as per Tamil Nadu Govt. rules)

The prescribed registration fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) to the candidates belonging to GT, MBC/DC and BC and Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two hundred and fifty only) in case of SC/ST may be remitted into the Bank account of the University and the copy of challan / reference of transaction for fee remittance shall be enclosed with application along with other enclosures. The bank details for remittance of registration fee to be paid in the name of “The Finance Officer, TANUVAS, Chennai-51”.

The seed for the establishment and growth of TANUVAS was sown as early as 1876, when the Madras Veterinary College was started as an Agricultural School in Chennai to offer diploma and certificate course in the field of veterinary and animal sciences. The institute attained the status of a college in the year 1903 (01.10.1903),when it started functioning at Dobbin Hall, Chennai and admitted 20 students for a three-year diploma course called GMVC (Graduate of Madras Veterinary College).
